Ever since childhood I have been fascinated with gourmet cooking.  A lot of credit has to go to my mother who encouraged my experimentation.  At 10 years old or so I would doctor up my lunches with different sauce variations. As a matter of fact, I still use an A-1, Tabasco and spice mix concocted back then. As I got a little older mom took me under her wing and passed on her recipes and her great culinary skills. This love of food continued into college where I worked part time as a cook in a contemporary Italian restaurant. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from professionals and one great home cook. 

After school ended I accepted a 9-5 job.  Cooking became a hobby.  Over the years this hobby turned into more of an obsession. I loved creating meals and would come up with any excuse to invite people over for dinner. Countless hours have been spent in the kitchen or hovering over the grill creating great meals and memories with family and friends. Doug’s spice rubs are the result of my passion for food and cooking. I hope they bring as much joy to your dinner parties as they have to mine.
